Fact vs. Fiction: Landrieu’s Rhetoric vs. Landrieu’s Record
This week Democrat Senator Mary Landrieu tried to convince Louisiana voters that she doesn’t share Barack Obama’s record of failed, out-of-touch polices, “My record is very different than the President’s, and people will judge me on my own record.” (AP, March 5, 2012)
“Senator Landrieu’s rhetoric doesn’t match reality. On every major issue from Obamacare, to the stimulus, to protecting religious liberty, Mary Landrieu has been in lock-step with President Obama.” said Republican Party of Louisiana Executive Director Jason Doré.
Doré continued, “Landrieu’s voting record speaks for itself and will make it difficult for Senator Landrieu to sell her fictional rhetoric to Louisiana voters. When the vote counts, you can count on Landrieu to stand with Obama.”
Landrieu’s record shows she has been a key supporter of the Obama agenda. Here are three examples:
1) Senator Landrieu cast the deciding vote in favor of Obamacare, Barack Obama’s signature legislation.
2) Senator Landrieu voted to quadruple the deficit and balloon the size of the federal government by voting for Obama’s failed $787 billion stimulus package.
3) Senator Landrieu confirmed she’s another Washington liberal by voting to force people of faith to violate their consciences by demanding they pay for abortion causing drugs.
