(Baton Rouge, LA) – The Republican Party of Louisiana is very disappointed in Judge Morvant's ruling on the Louisiana House's petition to put an end to Governor Edward's government overreach. Time and time again Governor Edwards has taken advantage of his power and used it to control the people of Louisiana. This arbitrary control should have been put to an end TODAY! Judge Morvant stated that "there's a lot unusual in this case, there is a lot unusual in 2020." We agree! Keeping business closed, children out of school, and people unemployed is indeed unusual. There is no valid reason to continue to allow the Governor to control our lives. In America, we are a government of, by, and for the PEOPLE. It is time for the Governor to end his reign and give freedom back to the people of Louisiana!
